Corrected Advisory: Updates to U.S General Services Administration’s (GSA’s) Federal Specification for the Star of Life Ambulance, KKK-A-1822F and Massachusetts Implementation Timeline
After consulting with the U.S. GSA to seek clarification, the Department has corrected the reference to a 2014 date in its original Advisory. The new GSA standards apply to ambulances contracted for and constructed after July 1, 2015. As stated in the advisory, the Department will allow ambulance services until July 1, 2016 to come into compliance with the new standards.
Attached please find the Department’s corrected Advisory alerting Massachusetts licensed ambulance services of the U.S. GSA’s updates to the federal specification for star of life ambulances and the Department’s implementation timeline.
