Boston Convention and Exhibition Center Protocols

A temporary medical field center has opened at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. This temporary medical field center will provide additional medical care capacity for the state’s hospitals.  Patients at temporary medical field centers will not be admitted directly to the field hospitals, either by ambulance or on a walk-in basis.  Patients will only  be transported from hospitals to the temporary medical field centers for necessary treatment and care.

As a result, temporary medical field centers do not provide treatment or care for walk-in patients. Individuals experiencing a medical issue should continue to contact their healthcare provider or contact 911, if it is an emergency situation.

Please review the following documents for additional information about the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center’s clinical capabilities and process for referring patients.
