The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) continues to work with state, federal and local partners on the outbreak of novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19), caused by the virus SARS-CoV-2, and we continue to appreciate the essential role you have in responding to this evolving situation. 

In response to the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, OEMS is releasing an update to Emergency Statewide Treatment Protocol 1.2. The Protocol, now titled,  1.2 Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Safety Precautions for All Patients, has been broadened to make clear that its requirements now apply to all patients, who are to be treated as suspect for COVID-19, and not limited to patients known to have COVID-19 or COVID-19-like symptoms.
